Very large page

About 3,000 rows of mixed content, plus one striped element 320 x 40,000px. snapdom has to walk and style a lot of DOM before it can crop, and the giant element is far past what a browser canvas can hold.

  1. Pin the + pin here marker at the top of the rows and note how long the screenshot takes.
  2. Scroll to the bottom and pin the second marker.
  3. Take screenshot and pick the blue striped element on the left.
In MarkUp (preview, 3.0.0 via proxy)
Both pins should produce a screenshot. 3.0.0 styles every element on the page, even outside the crop (#549, fixed in a 3.4.1 pre-release), but locally a viewport capture of this page still took only about 0.2s, so the size alone may not slow pins much on a fast machine. If a capture ever passes 20s, MarkUp gives up and the comment posts without a screenshot. Picking the giant element asks for a canvas taller than the browser's 32,767px limit, so expect a shrunk screenshot: about 82% of full size at 1x, about 41% on a Retina screen.
Raw snapdom / SDK
Locally, 3.0.0 and 3.4.0 both returned the giant element at 262 x 32,767px (1x) with the warning "capture 320x40000px exceeds decode limits; downscale". Older reports (#69, #246) show the same request failing with "The source image cannot be decoded" instead. 3.2.0+ can export one full-size PNG through toBlob(), but MarkUp uses toCanvas(), which keeps the limit.
